If you have ever enjoyed a homegrown chicken, you know how flavorful and tender they are. Our broilers are put out on pasture as soon as the nights are warm enough and they have their feathers. They enjoy protein rich alfalfa, other grasses and bugs.

If you haven’t noticed yet, we love our chickens around here! So much so that we just added 124 chicks to our flock!
There are the most entertaining animals on the farm. Besides the kids, they are the only ones that get to free-range around here. And they love that!!!! I mean LOVE it!

Give me a pack of bacon and I can whip up some breakfast, but a half of a pig…what do I do with that?!?! How much meat is that? How much space do I need in my freezer? How long will it take to eat all that? These are all good questions, some which don’t have a cut and dry answer. But at May Hill Farm we like challenges and are going to try and answer them for you.
